MOPS: Mothers of Preschoolers
MOPS stands for Mother of Preschoolers. We are a group of women with children fairly close in age that meet twice per month for adult conversation, learning, community building, and just a plain old break from our duties as moms.
Our meetings are two hours long, while the wonderful ladies of the Grace child care center lovingly care for our little ones. Some days we have a speaker who presents a subject that is relevant to our daily lives. Some days we have a craft activity where we can have a little fun (and hold our own glue stick without worry of it being eaten or stuck to the dog). Every time we meet, though, we get a chance to talk and interact and feel like grown-ups again. We also meet at other times for outings and play dates. It is wonderful!
